Young Investigator Abstract Competition

Are you a young researcher under the age of 36 with innovative ideas in the field of Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET)?

We invite you to participate in the Young Investigator Abstract Competition, held as part of the 27th European Practicum on Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.

Presentation Format: Conventional Print Poster (debated)
Present your work as a print poster (A0 size, portrait orientation: 120cm x 90cm). Each presentation includes 3 minutes to showcase your findings and 3 minutes for discussion. No PowerPoint slides are required. Simply place your poster on the designated board on the first day of the meeting. Poster patches will be provided, and no pre-upload is necessary.

This is your chance to showcase your research to a global audience, receive feedback from world-renowned experts, and compete for prestigious awards recognising groundbreaking contributions in CPET.

Submission Guidelines

  • Eligibility: Researchers aged 36 and under.
  • Field of Research: Abstracts must address topics related to Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing, including but not limited to:
    • Clinical applications of CPET.
    • New methodologies or technologies in CPET.
    • Innovative research in exercise physiology.
    • CPET in specific populations (e.g., pediatrics, heart failure, athletes).
    • Novel insights into interpreting CPET data.
  • Format: Abstracts should be concise (max 300 words) and include the following:
    1. Title.
    2. Authors and affiliations.
    3. Background and objectives.
    4. Methods.
    5. Results.
    6. Conclusions.
    7. References.

Please include the following in your submission:

  • Proof of age (e.g., scanned ID showing date of birth).
